The Food Stamp Employment and Training Program reimburses food stamp recipients for transportation costs (gasoline or bus fare) to education, training, or employment opportunities that will increase their ability to obtain regular employment and achieve self–sufficiency. The program is administered by each State’s Food Stamp agency, and requires a 50% match of federal funds and an Annual State Plan for the delivery of these services.
